Land Title Guaranty offers complete real estate closing services for
most of southeastern South Dakota. The company is headquartered in Sioux Falls, the state’s largest city.

Ernest G. Carlsen founded the company in 1955. Carlsen was the
pioneer of title insurance in South Dakota. In 1952, Carlsen then working for The Title Insurance Company of Idaho, was asked to consider selling the idea of title insurance to South Dakota. Carlsen traveled county-to-county, with hopes of pioneering a new product that would change the
real estate industry in the state. The next three years Carlsen built
agency relationships in South Dakota, then decided it was time to open
his own title plant, Land Title Guaranty.

We currently employ 14 of the most experienced staff in the industry. Our philosophy has always been “the customer is first.” It’s that service and commitment to excellence that has allowed us to help our great
community grow and prosper.
